In 2019 we learned that our decision to share about Andrew, about his suicide publicly through our annual Remembrance, had saved a life. The person whose life had been saved came to us, thanked us and shared her story. We realized then that Andrew's story, his pain and suicidal thoughts were more common than we even imagined. We decided soon after that Andrew's story, her story...our story needed to be shared as a way to bring more awareness to teen & young adult stressors, to mental health, to the grief and loss of loved ones impacted by suicide and in doing so perhaps inspire others to not give up and reach out.
This year our Remembrance video will be a highlight reel of the documentary we/www.vidacenter.org has started. Please join us.
